I'm new to finding good revenue deals, being an airline employee, but im transitioning out of it and starting to search like the rest of you here.
I've checked both NWA.com and farecompare and $166 AI rt is available and ticketable at least for many dates in July/August, maybe more. Routings available thru MEM or SLC, maybe more also.

Great find! As soon as you posted it, I saw some weekend dates in Aug/Sept at $169 or $172ai (taxes vary a little per routing, I suppose).
Two hours later, I see only $200 air, which is still very good, but more $$.
That's what I get for eating dinner and asking wife for her date preference instead of booking IMMEDIATELY. However, domestic harmony is important, too.
There are also many DCA-PHX same-days for the $190-200 a/i range... possibly better availability than the DCA-SAN fares the O/P found, at least in Aug and Sept.
