Can threads work on multi-fourms? There really should be some uber-fourm on great deals for both MR and good deals to inc. both USA domestic, intra european, asia, and internat'l or multi-national.

Yes... but these SQ fares do not count for MRs as you get ZERO miles.
I've been trying to find these fares from lhr-syd for october around 9-19 october, but i find only aroung 600-700 pounds....Cant find it for 399 =/....ANy dates that this fare is possible?
I suspect that the dates you mention coincide with school half-term breaks in the UK, so availability will be limited. If you check the SIA specials on netflights.com you can see a month's available outbound and return dates displayed on a calendar, a bigger range of dates than those displayed on the SIA website.

Thanks for the tip about the calendar on netflights.com. Saves a lot of time looking for availability compared to the SQ website. Too bad it only shows UK departures. Anyone know about a similar calendar feature on mainland-Europe websites?
Beware - not every airline may be listed. ita, for instance, doesn't appear to list SQ on the LHR-SYD route, for instance, though Skyscanner does pick it up.

Thanks for the tip. ITA doesn't show a lot of the sale fares unfortunately and I'd never thought of using skyscanner for non-lcc routes. Just tried to find LHR-SYD with whole month view without any luck. Am I missing something?

sorry, didn't see this til now.
The thing about skyscanner is - flights operated by Qantas and Virgin (perhaps also BA?) are considered direct as they have a single flight number all the way from LHR to SYD - so if you do a search for this route, the default of only bringing up the "direct" carriers means you'll only see these fares. Click on the "Show Indirect Flights" link on the bottom of either panel of suggested fares, and it will check the other carriers, including SQ.
When I did this last week, the cheap SQ promo fares were showing up but they seem to be gone now.
If you meant that you didn't know how to search by month - then the following screengrab should help - on the pulldown date menu, tick the "Whole Month" box.
However, they may not have any fares to display for any/all of the days of that month, and even if they do, they may already be expired (their fare data is not live)
Great tips, however where do we post and read the actual routes on sale? Budget travel? The whole MR v. good deal fares is an issure with this site, just my opinion.
Just booked a couple of these for the last few months of the year. Same day turns going thru EWR. Availability looks great from the end of August onward.
