for example.. IAD-LAX is $99 each way right now or $220 a/i for nonstops.. its pretty common now if you are flexible however it wasn't that long ago there wasn't anything for less than $350 RT a/i.. no matter when you wanted to go..

where would you put this fare.. again.. I wasn't going to start a thread on it but it is a good fare??? how about if this fare drops to $89 each way

seeking guidance here nothing else
I have thought the same way for awhile about posting a fare that doesn't qualify for MR but still a good deal that could benefit more people that would like to do a weekend getaway and still have it be a MR but the fare don't have a same day turnaround.

I was thinking maybe anything that around 3 cpm like a mileage run standard rate, but maybe having a 1-2 day stay requirement.

Or a great international deal, but over 3 cpm but a great deal like RIC to SJO for $228 at 5 cpm (how often can you fly at that price from that airport to place like SJO for that price?)

Or maybe like a WAS to BCN in the middle of July for $409, but it comes to 5.2 cpm, with no tricks

And finally anything that seems to be a "good deal" (judgmental) but IAD to LAX for $200 in general is a good deal (my opinion). But to let people post deals they find and keep it simple in this thread.

Just my .02 cpm

NYC-SEA

This is more of a question than a posting of an excellent deal:

NYC-SEA $271 AI in July (need to be in SEA in July)

Should I jump on this or could I expect to do a littler better closer to my travel dates? Not too familiar with this route; I see SEA at $239 for April travel, so I'm torn on whether to wait or not.

In a similar vein, right now UA PIT-LIH is $560 in April and May. No great deal, but a very decent price for a short vacation.

AA: PHX to SJO (Costa Rica) $306 AI

Noted fare on Kayak.com for multiple dates through November. Some days through Christmas school break are slightly higher but still a great value for the fares usually seen on this route.

We don't need any public discussion within this thread whether it shall continue to exist or not.

The reason is plain and simple - many Flyertalk members live in cities that have relatively high fares, which makes fares with a higher that the usual CPM within the Mileage Run Deals forum still MR-worthy for those living in such cities.

Also, since the Budget Travel forum is for LCC & Charter deals, that forum would not be appropriate for such a thread to reside.

If you don't want to monitor this thread, simply don't. Just ignore it. But let's be fair to those members who don't reside in MR heaven within the continental United States to give them one single thread where they can discuss their fares without getting scolded that the CPM is too high.

It's as simple as that.

Kind Regards

Well said, Moderator. I am fortunate enough to live in a HUB, and always feel bad for those guys who don't have the opportunities that we have.

Good deals good idea

Hi All. This is a great forum. I have learnt a lot from flyertalk posts. I don't get to travel nearly as much as I like, but when I do I want a great deal so this is more important than the mileage for me. I find some of the posts hard to understand ( I am not familiar with all the airport codes etc) so even if I found a deal that would interest you guys I would not post it because I would not know how to post all the mileage info. The mileage run deals may be great for people wanting to rack up miles, and that is great but there is also a place for people who just want an access to an awesome deal as often you have to snap these up quite quickly. As someone who doesn't know as much as you all I am hesitant to post deals and get snapped at that I didn't do it the right way or that someone else might think it is not a good deal. This means that we can all be missing out on what we love at the best price. Often times I will come across what I think are good deals and they may not interest me, but might a friend etc. In cases like that it would be good to be able to post with just a quick run down and a link to the offer. How we would stop a whole heap of spam from different travel companies I don't know because everyones idea of what is a good deal is different.
Anyway, just thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I love travel and love being able to help other people do it and I am grateful when others help me and thats what we are all here for.

P.S does it have to be economy good deals or could people also post really good business fares if they find them?

SFO-TXL US$446 ai (easy availability in May)

AA: San Francisco to Berlin L fares (upgradable) available on random midweek dates in May, e.g., May 20-26. Would be a MR if not for the impossibility of doing a same-day turn in TXL that doesn't involve an overnight stay somewhere on the return. Bookable on AA.com.

Sample routing: SFO-LAX-LHR-TXL; TXL-LHR-JFK-SFO. Other routings include subbing in BRU for LHR; also BOS/ORD/DFW for JFK. Books on all AA numbers, with AA codeshares to TXL. Combined with 2xEQM promotion for a ~25k EQM. Sample Iten: ~13k BIS miles, ~26k RDM for Plat+, 1.75cpRDM/EQM for AA PLAT+. Also, possible to route through boston for additional 5400RDMs each way using BOS3x promo to drop to 1.24 cpRDM.

Hey there, I just checked for this flight on sidestep and couldn't find anything close. Where did you go and how did you get it?
