UA: JFK-SFO-LAX-HNL and back: $465.40 AI
I know there have been other NYC-based HNL runs posted here, but this one is still available so I thought I'd post. 11,284 EQM (assuming 500 minimums) at a rate of $0.041 CPM. Not too shabby. Still a handful of dates with same-day-turnaround availability. Could do this with more segments, but this routing allows for p.s. in both directions. You can use the standard tools to find applicable dates.

Is there any better use of CR-1 than this one?
Maybe JFK-SFO-DEN-ANC, but that's about it.

SJU-ORD-SFO-HNL would be a better use. (yes it is possible to book this most times of the year, when there is mainline ORD-SJU).

Could you provide a hint of what dates you are looking at? 2009 only? I'm wondering if there's anything before '08 ends.

Some in 2008, but availability is dwindling fast...
FYI: Everyone has matched this.

Why would anyone want to go from SJU to HNL!?!

Works ex-BWI in Jan also same day return. This would also apply for a bonus mile promotion from UA I think?

Available every day from the second to fourth weeks of January, according to ITA. I think I might jump on one, just to get the miles flowing for 2009!
(Hopefully, as a new 1K, my retroactive CR-1s will have posted by then!!!)

PanHam - the fare change I saw from search to ticketing was only $3, what did you experience?

Oh, for me, .bomb wouldn't even compute the fare, even after selecting all of the appropriate "L" fare legs given by ITA. I searched for January 13th and 14th . . . what days were you searching?
