US: Euro-MSP/DTW, from $331 a/i; G fare
GLE7SN, found on usairways.com and expedia (but not orbitz).
No penalty for weekend travel. In fact, immediate weekend turn-arounds are possible with no fare premium. Sample dates used for pricing: 01/24 - 01/25 BRU seems to be the cheapest origination, available for $331. Other Euro origins available for under $400, but most are around $450. |
Interesting post!
I found as low as $311 all-in on EXP, for weekdays, on BRU-MSP. FYI, the BRU-PHL segment is on the dreaded 757. But you can route (for about $30-50 more) via FRA on A333 and via ORD/PHL/LHR on 767. |
Nice find!
What got my attention is that BRU-MSP is 126.50 Euros and MSP-BRU only 36.50 Euros! As open jaws are permitted and the fare rules say no HIP check I wonder if somebody managed to abuse this by using the return part and getting another cheap outbound part. Unfortunately the T fares for EU->US are rather expensive. |
The great price caught my eye, thanks OP, but then I did a little research on the demographics of this carrier's vitriolic human cargo.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=896031 and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=896269 The price is sweet but make sure your tetanus shots are up to date. |
Am I too late??
I tried LON and MAN and it seems "GONE"....
Any expert could help me to find cheaper airticket from UK to DTW for the weekends travel of January? Many thanks.... |
