I'm probably inaccurate in that part -- what I meant was that a one way ex-BKK would typically price with no "penalty" for being a one-way. I don't believe you can get the one way going from the States.
Sorry, I tripped over my tongue.
Steve
There are some reasonably priced one way fare from West coast to BKK or TPE or KUL in fully flexible/refundable version. Check AC and DL out. The former is the cheaper one.

Does anyone have experience with this site: www.asia.com ? they quote a great fare on NWA roundtrip LAX to BKK see below. I can't pull up anything even close to these on NWA. I wonder what class this would book into if its not a scam alltogether.

That is a good price for this route. Normally, out of BKK to LAX, that's about normal for a J round trip on most carriers. But you don't usually see it this cheap out of LAX.
I think CO/DL/NW 50-60 advance business fares US-Europe deserve a mention.
1800$ and up excl. tax east cost to various destinations in Europe.
What always kills me on those fares is the 7 day stay requirements. Although I'm seriously considering for some European business doing SFO-EUR and then sticking EUR-LAX inside it (and then, *poof* finding my way up the coast).

I'd remove DL from that list. Some "I" fares have become outrageous (PDX-MUC $3,712+; JFK-MUC $2,423), and I've found DL to be more expensive than NW for pretty much every US-EU trip I've looked up.
Furthermore, I'd say that, from a cpm perspective, it'd be difficult to find US-EU deals that even come close to some of the Asia-US fares. I'd love to stand corrected on this one, though...Anyone?

I agree with the DL comment and also with the US-EU vs Asia-US, but do you know any good US-Asia fares for a good cpm in premium class?
Are there any good Asia (CMB, BKK, HKG, etc.) to Europe in C or F?
RTW fares is okay but not great in C in 5-6K.
BKK-MUC is available from ~$2,600 in AF/KL Z, and ~$2,950 in LH D, and probably others. RTW BKK-PDX-EWR-AMS-MUC-BKK is available on NWA.com for under $3,500 (mostly C, some J segments). There are even better deals through consoldiators like thaifly.com.
