There is a NW fare, but it has become very restrictive. Not sure how to get it issued. Rules now say you have to use UL to SIN BKK or HKG and it has to be issued on NW plates.
CSPL fare.
There is also the UA A fare I think. But it has to be issued in CMB.

I meant 50$, not 50% and it happened within the last week. They did the same out of BKK in April. Then OZ did not react and KE went back down. DL followed up but did not go down.

I'm intrigued by doing a mileage run between CMB and the US. I would like to fly in business class (or first). Need to earn miles on NW. My plan would be to nest this revenue ticket inside an existing Star Alliance business class award to CMB. In other words, I'd move my outbound award travel to CMB forward, fly CMB-US outbound at my convenience and fly US-CMB return just in time to pick up the remainder of my Star Alliance award. It would be great to do this over the Christmas/New Year holiday period to minimize my time out of the office.
How can I go about searching for valid flights, routings, and availability? Any particular search engine that I should use?
What carriers should I use given that I will be crediting my miles to NW? I assume only NW, KE, and MH are going to earn me WorldPerks mileage.
And what is the current NW business class fare for the CMB-US roundtrip journey?
Feel free to PM me if you are uncomfortable about sharing any secrets publicly.
"On KE, BKK-ICN-LAX and return is pricing at $1716 in unrestricted C. At 125% EQM this yields 20,662 EQMs for 8.1 ¢/EQM. I'm still a rookie at premium mileage runs, but I figure 6 ¢/EQM would be pukka for premium class travel"
On KE, First and Business is 150% (not 125%) EQM for CO one Pass and for Skyteam Flying blue 300% EQM in First
Found a relatively good biz class deal for JFK - SCL on TA/LR.
Prices at $1333 all in on taca.com. Fare basis CEO00RIS on the outbound and IOA07RIS on the return, no min stay, 8 day adv purchase, stops allowed.
The most miles I can find is 11280, routed JFK-SJO-BOG-SCL. There are other connections in SJO, LIM, GYE, etc, but I can't seem to get the fare to price with more than two connections.
Looks like TA is now a UA partner, and they give 150% for paid C class. I'm not sure about I class; as I can't use the fare I haven't called UA to verify. If only C class is has the mileage bonus, the fare is $100 higher.
Too bad I can't use it - hope it helps someone else out there!
I issued one ex-CMB NW/CX/UL ticket for $1500USD RT this past summer, and the flights went well. But then NW sent my agent a debit memo claiming that agents are not allowed to issue this ex-CMB ticket, unless they used NW's own PTA agent at CMB. NW claims that people throw away tickets to take advantage of the fare. Of course, I did not but it was a hassle to photocopy passports showing my entry and exit stamps, boarding pass stubs, ticket receipts and even baggage claim tickets to prove that I did not throw away any tickets. So better call NW up and find out who are their PTA at CMB?

So what would be the best way to book the NW ex-CMB fares if one is located in the US? Call NW reservations to book the itinerary or get the GSA contact in CMB and book through them? How does one get a PTA issued in the US then?
