UA: OXR-LAX-PHL-CLT-BDL-IAD-SFO-LAX-OXR $297.60 ai (3.7 cpm)

This is my first MR so try to go easy on me (I just read exclamationman thread!)...

There are similar routings with availability in late April through early June (Around $260 out for LAX-BDL, many airlines, many dates). This itinerary is the most miles I could find and it gets me an opportunity to try out Oxnard for the first/only time (UX ends service in June). It's bookable on .bomb.

OXR-LAX, UA 6299 - 49 miles (500 min)
LAX-PHL, UA 0130 - 2401 miles
PHL-CLT, UA 1474 - 447 miles
CLT-BDL, UA 1909 - 643 miles
<6 hour overnight in BDL>
BDL-IAD, UA 0657 - 326 miles (500 min)
IAD-SFO, UA 0267 - 2419 miles
SFO-LAX, UA 0139 - 337 miles (500 min)
LAX-OXR, UA 6297 - 49 miles (500 min)

PHL-CLT and CLT-BDL are US metal otherwise UA/UX. That's 7910 miles (with 500 mile minimums) for $297.60 or 3.76 cpm.

Is OXR-LAX a seasonal route? Or UA will permanently stop this service?

I will fly to OXR later this month, before the last commercial flight ends on June 8th.

It looks like it is permanent.

Thanks for the info. I'll add that to the list of reasons to avoid US...

Where are you cerditing your miles? This will get you 600 EQMs on BD for each of those 49 mi segments.

YMMV depending...

Also when I tried to split individual segments between BD and UA while flying US I failed miserably and everything went to one program (BD) even though US gate agents claimed they were able to change FF programs.

Gate agents/Customer Service can change FF programs for you (before boarding), but the FF program & number relates to each route, not each individual segment. For example, you could have the following routing:

A->B->C->D (STOP)
D->E->F (STOP)
F->G (STOP)

where all six segments to all seven cities are under the same single PNR, but each of the three multi-city routes are crediting to a different FF program.

This is routable in the reverse as well. ex-BDL for the same price, same rules. I was able to route this through MSY for even more mileage. ^

I am not a fan of these types of runs. A misconnect is almost assured.
