ORD-BKK $605.40 w/10% discount code AA

ORD-DFW-NRT-BKK 9/23 - 10/01

My first post so please go easy on me.
I wish I could give more details but I'm in way over my head here. It was found on Travelocity, booked on AA.com with confusion everywhere in between. I've got a long way to go...
If nothing more, this will give me a chance to thank all the people here that give so much!
Edited to ask: Finding this fare seemed to be a fluke and the fare rules were unavailable. Is that normal or did I miss something.

Actually, the challenge is 10,000 for paltinum, isn't it? I should do this, too... but I am soooo broke!

What a great find!!!
Thanks!!!
You started out with a bang!
I'm going at the end of August, returning the following week, $597.00 + $155 TPA-ORD = about 20500QM.
I was going to do TPA-SYD, with the majority of it on Qantas, which I could not upgrade and it was pricing just above $1000. Same miles. Now, I get to sit in J for the major part, and the price difference will pay for the hotel.
Thank You!!!!!

Correction......
I was able to price it out of TPA - $645.40 after the discount code.
Just upgraded with miles - 50K, but 42K will be coming back, and the best part, 20.3K QM - EXP, here I come!!!
Thanks again!!!

A great Plat challenge run!!!

10.000 is only for full fare Y, you would have to do 20.000 miles in discount Y.

AA leverages its OneWorld partner(s) planes to fly to most parts of Asia, like BKK, even if some flights listed with AA flight # (code-share agreement).

Yes, but ORD-DFW-NRT-BKK is more than 10k miles each way, so a single RT would be enough for a Platinum Challenge.

When I look this up on aa.com, it lists no AA base miles for the NRT-BKK segments when using JAL or ANA codeshares. Is that correct? Guess I'm missing something about how the Q miles/pts get calculated.
Also, how do you know what the discount code is?

AA.com never lists miles for codeshares or other airlines when it displays the schedule, but you will get full mileage as long as it's AA flight #. You could check the mileage on the AA.com PDF timetable. If you like to know, it's 2889 each way. So in my case it's 1012+6266+2889/one way.
The discount code is S721KJ.
This is a great deal. I just reserved 5* hotels for under $100 per night.
Good luck!!!
