I am flying NW over Thanksgiving (PHX DTW LGA - JFK DTW PHX) for 4,344 status miles, bringing me to 49,476 miles on Dec 2. Any cheap and fast ideas to earn 524 miles? Since HP is no longer an option, I can only use CO or NW, and same day turnarounds to hubs seem to always a lot of $$$. Any ideas would be nice.

Thanks!

I don't know what kind of fare you currently have but I would also recommend you change your current routing for the $100 change fee. I plugged in your dates and got

PHX-MSP-ORD-DTW-LGA-MSP-ORD-DTW-PHX

all for $366 and almost 6000 miles.

I bought my ticket on Orbitz 11/26 redeye PHX DTW LGA, 12/2 return 4:15PM JFK DTW PHX. It was only $241.50, so my guess that's NWs K class (cheap class)?

Then you're better off taking a short run out of NYC while you're there because the fares have gone up as you've guessed.

There are at least a 1/2 dozen destinations out of NYC for ~$100.
