AA: DFW-LAX, ride the new 787-9 for $71.

Same-day turns available, ex-DFW, with both out- and in-bound on the new, improved (am I allowed to say, 'enhanced'?), 787-9.

In fact, on most 'sale' days (TuWeSa) for same-day turns, the Dreamliner is the only flight that gets the lowest fare. Departures from LAX get the low fare only on the Dreamliner outbound and a narrowbody on the return, for most same-day dates I tried.

Sample date: 11OCT - 11OCT.

One oddity: the OTAs do not show anything close to this fare. So, if you're interested, I'd grab one real quick.

Elite members can choose the new Premium Economy seats for free! AA isn't officially selling the premium economy class fares until next year so for now they are just MCE seats.

You can still book it. You just can't pick seats at the moment.

I was able to book two of these on AA.com. One on 10/11 for $71, and one on 10/08 (Saturday) for $101. Seats are not available to be assigned yet...

^ All seats in the main cabin are blocked for some reason.

Just booked 8 Oct r/t for $70.60. As with others, had to book without seat assignment. Great deal for EQMs. Too bad it's after the 1 Aug change in RDMs.

Is it for sure the 789 won't be subbed out? This happened when United was introducing their 788's. I'd have to position for this, so it would cost me almost $400 to ride these both ways or about $350 one way. I'm already EXP so I don't need the extra miles.

I snagged two of these on back to back weekends, but opted for the 777 on the outbound legs for the guaranteed business class seat (add'l $6 was worth it for me).

The Saturday fares appear to be gone now. Might still exist for Tuesdays/Wednesdays.
