AA/BA: AUS-LHR nonstop $612 RT April-May 2018
Appears to require a one-week stay. Sample dates: April 19-26.
Find your dates on google flights; seems to be bookable on AA/BA/IB/AY.
~9,800 EQM though very low EQD on AA. Not sure the rules on other carriers.

Then it would be reactive, not pre-emptive...
(That sounds expensive for a Norwegian fare. You can fly SEA-LGW for $449 or OAK-LGW for $385 return this fall on DY, for example)
