If anybody is combining the cmb-las fare with the recent EK MLE-USA-MLE fare there is a China Eastern Business fare MLE-CMB for around $135 which is less than their economy fare

Didn't EK cancel all of those?

Wondering if the CMB-LAS fare is an error or just a good deal with unusual fare rules.

The Jet fares are in the same range ($259 o/w) so it's not an isolated mistake...

credits 100% with OK PLUS (Czech airlines FF program)

Not sure what burn rates are like, but even for status its an interesting option.

If anybody does this run and credits to OK PLUS who isn't already STE+ with OK PLUS you have my respect. That would be absolutely brutal.

Right now my return is CMB-AMS-LAX-LAS on a 747. I'm considering changing my return via BOM or something else creative?

Your return? Wouldn't that be LAS-LAX-AMS-CMB?

I'm based in the US. So I'd be probably flying to SE Asia and then hopping over to CMB for the MR and then I need to get back to the US somehow.

Ahh makes sense. If you're really dedicated, do OP's original one-way return to the US. Only $298 and with the round trip you'll be pushing 46,000 butt-in-seat miles

Is there a R/T fare on this?

Also, would it be okay to use GUC on this reservation?

Tried to back into OP's original fare with flights departing on the 6th,7th or 8th. Doesn't seem to work

Yes, there are a number of round-trip possibilities up to about 30,000 BIS miles. Start reading at post 12, basically the entire thread deals with RTs. Several people booked yesterday, I would move quickly if you're trying to book.

Since it is 006 ticketed, you can certainly apply a GUC. How many segments it will cover is difficult to tell, there is also some discussion of that in the thread.

Try using Google Flights to search CMB-LAS on SkyTeam. This will show you when the basefare is available.
