The fare basis is "RRLCHILD", I may be mistaken, but I think its a child fare that mistakenly prices as an adult fare.
It is a nice fare, but might be risky to use unless the "CHILD" is an acronym for something else.

It's most definitely an Adult fare. They may have intended for it to be a child fare, but they coded it as an Adult fare.

it's pricing the same everywhere, including on AM's own site.

On my booking, I requested Adult, entered my birthdate, and paid. The receipt shows Adult several times:

It is being sold as an adult fare, but by mistake. It is actually coded as a CHILD fare.
People buying these tickets will probably be OK, but be aware that its a mistake. It happens every once in a while that a CHILD fare appears for sale as a standalone fare.

No, it's an Adult fare. Children fares cannot be purchased standalone. The fact that you can buy just one ticket means they coded it as an Adult. The fare basis code is as you described, but that does not mean it's coded as a Child fare. Those are just letters. I've seen them put in all sorts of stuff in there -- "BOO" or "SPOOKY" around Halloween, "LOVE" around Valentine's Day. For all we know this is an Adult for the price of a Child special. We really don't know.

You may be right that it's unintentional, but it's most definitely an Adult fare and coded as such. The fare basis code is as you described and is nowhere visible in the booking process. AM even appends (Adt) to the passenger name on your receipt, so the reference to "Adult" is on the receipt some like 4 times.

In fact, if you dig up the fare rules (which most people don't know how to do), there is a child discount if you bring a kid along:

Code:
 CNN/ACCOMPANIED CHILD PSGR 2-11 - CHARGE 85 PERCENT OF
     THE FARE.
TICKET DESIGNATOR - CH AND PERCENT APPLIED.
MUST BE ACCOMPANIED ON ALL FLIGHTS IN THE SAME
COMPARTMENT BY ADULT PSGR 12 OR OLDER.
Looks like a Child fare on this Adult fare would be even less ($59.50+ vs. $70+).

And in my experience, you'll have tons to select from since hardly anyone pays to select a seat.

How would I monitor to see if this sale occurs again or if there are other dates available besides logging in each day to price the tickets?
