The new airline is not Iberia or BA. Just have the same parent owner IAG. Will be a low cost carrier and not a OW airline.
IAG also own another low cost carrier Veuling.
Avios is the frequent flyer currency of BA & IB. (both owned by IAG)

Sir Freddie Laker's smile is widening.

[I have no connection with the author or the airline.]

I keep thinking: BCN-OAK @ 30" ... BCN-OAK @ 30" ... BCN-OAK @ 30" ...

It gets better. Reflecting back to traveling on Laker: What happens in IRROPS? Answer: Nothing, and not in a good way.

You better hope that there will be no IRROPS - I read quite a few stories about people flying on Norwegian getting stranded.
Then again, IB or BA might be able to help out, although it is not very likely.

You won't be earning AA miles with LEVEL. Iberia Plus Avios only...

From https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/...nes/iberia.jsp

"The booking classes F and A will only accrue on codeshare flights where Iberia is the marketing carrier and American Airlines or British Airways is the operating carrier."

Yea, you have to be a bit flexible with this. I did OAK-LGW in January, the flight was delayed by 3 hours. After 2 months of writing back and forth, got an email from the UK CAA today telling me that DY has to pay compensation for the delay.

Getting some nice delay comp would be great. Tickets are from Iberia stock. I wonder how hard they are go deal with.
