Wow, this sounds fun. Just from a cursory check, I can see a $350 one-way on TP to VCE, quite close to LJU if anyone's interested. Not sure of earnings on either of these fares.

If you're a student (or under 26 IIRC), TP has discounted student fares going for $200ish or less ow, making this an even better deal for an ex-US round trip.
The earnings for both the JU and the TP fare are bad, but the price compensates for that :)

TP also often has decent one-way fares from the US to ZRH - not sure how/whether this would fit in.

Those layover times. Yuck!

Forgot to mention, JU offers free hotels for those who have to overnight to catch the JU 500 to JFK.

Great fare! Any idea about the best way to request the overnight hotel? That page says it must be done 5 days prior to departure.

25% miles on Etihad, probably the best choice

I'd try to get in touch with Air Serbia reps either via Facebook or phone. They should be pretty responsive given the size of the company.
