I'm not sure if anyone would enjoy flying that route westward.

Nice find, OP.

Redeyes two nights in a row and a 3AM arrival sounds brutal, but this itinerary is a prime candidate for SDCing in a weekend layover in Hawaii.

Good fare with cruel and unusual punishment.

I think you mean eastward? I've flown it in both directions, and I thought eastward was fine -- the only stop that you land in the dark is Majuro, and at that point you're sick of islands anyway!

It'll be nice if it's a return trip instead

FWIW, this is a relatively typical o/w fare China to EWR these days. I paid similar for my return last week. The "fun" of this one is the routing and allowing the hopper.

Wow, I'm surprised that it allows booking as a one way IME almost always prices out twice as much as r/t.

I went MNL-GUM-HNL-LAX, it wasn't super pleasant. Only time I'm probably ever gonna get to stop in Guam, the itinerary reads like a mess though cuz of the red-eyes and date line.

I ended up with $200 in UA credit though after sleeping through two 777 flights where the streaming entertainment didn't work, so it all worked out nicely for me .

Hi HP.,

How did you do the booking? I tried multi-city on United.com and Google Flights -- couldn't duplicate what you got. Thanks!

Can you use RPU all the way to EWR?
