AA LAX-CDG $488 a/i

Found this when looking for some trips in JAN/FEB to burn this year's eVIPs.

Looks to be available most any date starting the second week in JAN and lasting through at least MAR (ITA just crapped out on me so can't check later dates). Outbound can connect in MIA / JFK / DFW. Inbound looks like it has to be through LHR at least for the dates I looked at. JAN dates require a 1 night stay but MAR has some 0 day trips available.

EDIT - Also seeing sub-$500 fares for FCO, MXP, MAD in FEB. Looks to be good for multiple EU destinations.

Apparently many west coast cities for ~$500. I've booked a SEA-FCO//VCE-SEA for January and SEA-MUC//HEL-SEA in February. Lots of immediate SWU availability via MAN.

Hi, how did you check for SWU availability? Using expert flyer, I'm guessing?

With AA, just check for C availability in the Award section of EF.

Nope, just check for saver business class award availability calendar at aa.com. No reason to pay a fee.

No they aren't, but, I've never had a time where award space was available that a SWU wasn't. Maybe I've missed a few opportunities but I've found it to be a quick and easy way to view a month at a time. Sometimes you'll need to search the international segment first but not a big deal.

Is your point searching by award space misses out on availability? If so, can you give examples?

Any sample dates on those? I have a few SWUs to burn as well but can't find any routes with C space.

I was able to confirm with SWU $555 LAX - LHR for Feb 11 - 13.

AA website clearly shows "Systemwide AVailable" when SWU's are available from Coach - Biz and Biz to 1st.

$433 for 3/30 to 4/6; Too bad I am not in a position to book a trip right now. Wow Air has sub $400 airfare, but it adds up to $700 once you add a carry on (not even a checked bag) and select a seat for all 4 legs.

I don't know that my specific dates will help you as they were booked a while ago. Here's what I'd suggest:

Find some fares to cheaper cities in Europe via google flights.

Go to aa.com and check ORD/DFW/JFK - LHR/MAN and look for Saver business.

Then check the domestic segments to get to the international departure city.

Go back to google flights and price.

.

I've been trying to get this to actually price at this level. I haven't yet found one that doesn't reprice to $700+.

Looks like you missed the boat. There was wide open availability yesterday morning, but the deal appears to be dead now. I was able to get to the payment page on a few different dates.
