Ua: Bwi-sin $800

Early December, various routings (ORD / NRT, HKG), about $800. Good deal for WAS area.

Nice find, but there are many cheaper options to Asia from BWI (<$640): BKK, CTU, PEK (HKG, <$700), for mileage runs. The good thing about SIN run is that there is no hotel cost involved.

Question - What makes the SIN MR different from BKK or PEK that a hotel cost is not involved?

- Apparently shorter layover
- ability to stay inside security/immigration between flights and big nice airport where one can spend quite a bit of time.

- SIN is the longest flight from WAS area, far more than PEK, and more than almost any other destination over there (except, perhaps, KUL)

WAS-NRT-SIN - 20160 m rt
WAS-NRT-BKK - 19260 m rt
WAS-PEK - 13840 m rt

PEK really isn't mileage-runnable without a visa anyway.

BWI-EWR train runs about $100-150 RT? + $588 EWR-SIN RT is $738 ai. "Convenience" is really irrelevant when we're talking about MRs

Time may be an issue. Train takes longer. Some of these flights are also available from IAD or DCA, which saves even more time. That said, EWR is an option too.

Bwi-HKG run can be routed through gum and HNL to increase miles. 4cpm is a marginal run.
