Matching a Frontier sale.

Obviously not too good a deal for mile-earning but for 1900 PQM/2 PQS that's a pretty good price. Catch the megabus back to Austin for $5.

Still 10k miles, so not a good use really. And AUS-IAH nonstop usually runs $100-$300

My experience with the Austin/Houston Megabus is minimal. I was just trying to stay within the airport. Does the Austin Megabus pick up at IAH? Would love to have another repositioning idea for future MR planning. Seems AUS has some great potential MR's that IAH, being a hub, I assume, does not.

Yes, AUS does have some decent MR possibilities; in the ~10 months that I've been here, I've done 2 so far, and have another booked for Nov.

AA and UA both have regular flights to their DFW/IAH hubs, so they compete against each other very closely here at AUS.

Houston MegaBus picks up near 801 St. Joe (across from Metro HQ near Pierce, one block off Main). It's the terminus for Line 102, an hour plus ride to IAH Terminal C.

Indeed, this currently is available as AUS-ORD-AUS (booked as two separate one-ways) for around $105 on a lot of days this fall. That's obviously an extra ~$30, but that may be well worth it to avoid the cost and hassle of having to get between Houston and Austin by other means.
