The RDM is a nice bonus but I feel like with the spend requirement starting in 2017, this year is the last year most people will be able to attain higher AA status.
I was trying to find trips which can give me about 150k RDM (i would need to do multiple trips). I am not too worried about EQM for this year since i am already at 80k.

You're going to need to complete those trips prior to 8/1/2016 to be able to get any decent RDM costs. But, all that said, even the YVR-windaround-PTY trip doesn't have RDM costing much less than what you can buy RDM for from AA. Why put in all that time if you're not worried about qualifying miles? Just buy the RDM and save yourself the MRs.

I LOVE the brutality of this MR. It's a tempting way to get a boost toward EXP in 2017. If they come out with an EQD waiver, that is...

I wouldn't define myself as such, but I'm not afraid of an intense MR. This past March, I did JAN-DFW-LHR-CPH-LHR-LAX-SFO-DFW-NRT-CGK-NRT-DFW-SFO-LAX-LHR-CPH-LHR-DFW-LAX-DFW-JAN all in one week, so I'm game for something like this.

So how many minutes out of the week did your feet touch the ground?

I'm intrigued by doing something like this but taking a week off from work and the thought of developing DVT just keep me from pushing through with the purchase. It would be nice to get to ExPlat but............

I'm hoping you took into consideration the change beginning 1August?

Gotcha. Also, are you overnighting in Hkg in between? The back to backs Hkg-Dfw and Lax seem too daunting to undertake.

I did just book the LAX-HKG RT piece of this in late September, 9/21-9/26, $637, 4.4 cpm, and three days on the ground to actually experience the city. Booked the new non-stop, but could have decreased cpm by either a Narita routing or even a DFW one.

Not the greatest cpm but much less brutal than the OP's itinerary. Only 5 booked seats in MCE and 1 in business so like my chances to get a miles/dollars upgrade.
