AA: DCA to ZRH via JFK. $415.
Travel is for seven days in early April. Switzerland is expensive. I will be in Austria.

with the old rules I'd have been all over this. from SFO for 450USD.

SFO-JFK-ZRH-LHR-SFO as Plat = ~25k RDM
new rules as plat: (100fare+200carrier-imposed fees)*8= 2400RDM, 10% of before... damn.

Fare rules state it must be ticketed on or before 07 June, FYI.

This would be a good use of Citi ThankYou Points; for example just over 25k points to fly SFO-ZRH.
