Va: Lax/sfo - syd $450 rt

Available during August/September. Not showing up on Google Flights. This is a great fare if you need to visit Australia some time this summer.

Can anyone explain the Delta earning on an itinerary like this? I can't determine the class of service until after booking and reviewing the ticket.

Mine booked into V class, which earns 50% miles on Delta per http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US

Wow, wish I'd seen this before booking, but managed to get $421 SFO - BNE anyway. Ticketed a few hours after reserving on the OTA.

don't know the answer for bonus miles.
note that while virgin gives dl plat/dia priority seating, no economy comfort. and 3 seaters.

Mine booked into V as well. Can anyone shed light on how DL handles DL Elites on DL metal, but VA ticket/flight number? I have been able to select preferred seats, but I am not able to request C+.

Thanks to the OP for the nice find.

DL elites on DL metal regardless of who ticketed it will be treated normally. Ask VA for a DL reservation number, and then you should be able to select seats.
