also available from other NZ destinations for similar prices. CHC is even cheaper.
Keep in mind that AA will move to revenue based RDM earning past June.

keep in mind that no set date has been announced and it may well not happen until 2017. Nobody knows anything aside from "second half of 2016", possibly.

Data point to contribute. While on the phone with the exact plat desk I was read a memo that said "late 2016". This sounded like an internal memo and not something that was to be published. YMMV

Unusual to find a one-way international fare like this. As for RDMs, yes important earnings, but some of us are more concerned about EQMs.

Air NZ, which drives fares in the NZ-US market, typically prices their fares on a one-way basis. They also like selling fares that allow their pax to purch economy one way and then a premium cabin the other. Great to hear that AA (and likely UA will need to do as well) is providing cheap one-ways.

Rather stupid to be so non-descript with when all this is happening, creates a whole lot of uncertainty in people's minds as to whether to book with them... I don't think they have clarified partner earn going forward either...

Not that unusual to the U.S. It's one-way fares from the U.S. that are rarely reasonable.

Perhaps not. I bet that it's stimulating a lot of travel by mileage runners looking to get status under their belts before the change.
