Happy 2016!
Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

AA/UA - MSP-LIS for $750. Not a mileage run far, but definitely better priced than the usual $1200 range. November 2015.
Actually, lots of Europe fares for $700 or so. Not bad for MSP.

MU: SFO-SHA/TYO rt $379 ai
I managed to create a decent itinerary out of the $379 SFO-SEL/TYO fare offered by China Eastern.
The search results are limited when using a simple query on GF. However, using the multi-city search, there are many itineraries that provide multi-day stays in Seoul (or presumably Tokyo) with long layovers in Shanghai.
Unfortunately, the price spikes when trying to take advantage of Shanghai's 144-hour TWOV policy, but as long as you can live with a near 24-hour layover to see the sights, this is an awesome deal.
My getaway looks like this:Here's a sample itinerary on GF for a longer 6-day, 7 night stay:

Anyone have advice on what to do with MU miles? The transpacific flights are Q and appear to be worthless, but the SHA-GMP hop is class B.

CVG-ORD-ZRH-JNB UA/LX $852 scattered dates from November to March, including Thanksgiving. Routing through EWR with shorter layovers and more dates for $869. Unfortunately, K class earns only 50% on MileagePlus, but only if purchased not through united.com and not on United ticket stock of course (0-25% on other programs). For CVG, this is a good price to Europe, let alone Africa. Other destinations at relatively low prices from CVG are NBO ($836+) and, weridly, CTU (Chengdu) from $763 all on UA metal with long outbound layovers in ORD and SFO.

Doesn't K book 100% on singapore and 50% on most others? http://www.wheretocredit.com/united-airlines/k

I think they were referring to K earnings on LX, not UA: http://www.wheretocredit.com/swiss/k
