Great find OP Thanks for posting.

Just don't forget about visa requirements for US citizens.
Insanely excellent fare. Sadly, if you don't have them, and are an American, the visas kind of kill the deal. You'll need both Brazil and Argentina (you fly into Brazil, but the best views of the falls are in Argentina). They're $160 each.

Still, if you've ever wanted to go, it won't be cheaper than this.

Well, off to cancel the ticket I just booked...

*EDIT* I am planning to return to AR/BR next year. How long are tourist visas good for? I am seeing conflicting info online.

I already have a Brazil visa, but my PTO days are set for the rest of the year: Nov 21-29 and Dec 24-Jan 3. Positioning to MCO from AUS during Thanksgiving will probably defeat the deal.

Any suggestions?

Has anyone found something from JFK that doesn't involve a 4 night stay?

Just booked JFK-LIM-IGU-GRU-SCL-GIG-JFK for $378 on LAN-TAM.

I also hold a Salvadoran passport, so I do not need visa to enter Brazil.

Now, the question is: Will LAN let me board at JFK?

Brazil visas are issued for 5 and 10 years.
Argentina reciprocity fee will be valid for the time left in your passport.

They're generally good for 10 years, so that's good.

What tends to happen, though, if you wait long enough, the South American countries make a deal with the USA and the visa fees get eliminated. This happened last year in Chile. I doubt anything would change in a year, though. So perhaps you should bite the bullet now and you'll get 2 trips for your $320 in fees.

Exactly my thoughts. This way I get the cheap flight to IGU and I get to amortize the visa costs over 2 trips.

booked a week over thanksgiving because I already have the visa. Flying out of JFK - 5 days in Rio, 2 in Iguazu Falls.

Now I need to decide if I want to keep it or not.
