The fare pops up once a while, catch it if you can.

I don't see anything below $255 for same-day turns through the end of the year.

The price is not always there. As mentioned earlier, the price pops up once a while. I saw this price about 4 weeks ago for a couple of days, then it's gone. I saw that price again last Wednesday. So you may have to check the price frequently.

Just found this post, the same deal.

lucky I got one

I purchased one for $106.20 for travel outbound on May 10, 2015 returning the next day. Aircraft: CR7 and A320.

Also found CLE-DFW (usually through IAH) for $129 with 2336 miles (N fare), available from early 2016 weekend departures plus a few early Dec 2015. This pops up with 2-3 day stays and worked for MLK 2016 weekend. Ironically found this during DTW-DFW search with nearby airports and didn't even blink to book it.

Great deal for weekend getaways to Dallas, may not yield the best cpm for non-UA MP members but still a great deal nonetheless.

update:

I am not seeing any IAD-DFW for $101 but saw ORD-DFW $137 with wide-open availabilities during holiday periods and weekends.

My flight on the CR7 back in Feb got CPUed at T-4 days. So it seems the upside is easier upgrade. Downside...it's a CR7. (I got lucky on the return, got a weather cancellation and rerouted DFW-DEN-IAD that brought it under 3cpm.)

BTW, on the check-in screen, there is an option to change flights. I found it can give you more favorable routing than what is presented in the "change flights" button in the itinerary. So don't forget to check.

When an airline offers a change in flights upon kiosk check in I suspect they may be trying to drain pax from an oversold flight. Still I like the offer and might take it in the future if the change offers some benefit like the added miles.
