AA: JFK-SIN $898 (4.5 cpm) | JFK-SGN $740 (3.9 cpm)

Great prices to SIN / SGN - already put one to SIN on hold. It's almost all new JAL 777/787 metal, but marketed by AA with AA flights numbers.

Having a lot of trouble getting the JFK-SGN route to actually price out - it just keep throwing different errors on the AA site even though you can click through from Google Flights / Hipmunk. If anyone can find the trick to actually booking the SGN routing...

I'm seeing ~$745 for lots of dates in May (sample May 7th to May 13th to SGN on google flights). But when I select the flights it goes up to $775 and when I click though it errors out on AA site.

Haven't tried myself, but how about an OTA?

The problem is aa.com. Apparently the codeshare with JAL sold out but the system didn't capture. It has been a problem almost 2 weeks now.

*Some* flights definitely do price out - I have a JFK-NRT-SIN on hold and it's all AA codeshares. Any suggestions for identifying / filtering out the problem codeshare flights?

Lots of discounted routes that include these JAL codeshares, but can't find a way to consistently decipher which days / flights #s are still actually available.

Might have to just stick with JFK-SIN for <$900.

On a semi-related note. Booked for Bdl-Sin//Kul-Bdl on AA + codeshares for December at $875 (3.89cpm). Had a hard time putting it together due to the JL codeshare issue mentioned above, but at last I'm ticketed for adventure.

Had been trying to book this for the last 4 weeks and finally gave up. Ended up doing a CX code share instead.

Does the JAL flight availability not correctly show on ExpertFlyer either?

Not if booked as AA, only if booked as CX.

True, true. I misread it as danielchee booking an itinerary with CX flight numbers just as frustration/unable to find the desired itin.

Oops, yeah I booked an AA ticketed flight but operated by CX. Good thing I bought it then too coz the AA price went up by $500 after I purchased it compared to the CX ticketed flight.
