Tues/Wed/Sat flights, book by Mar 4, travel by June 10 - Fairly limited dates
VX's promotion has DAL-AUS on sale, and allows routing through SFO once again. This works for both DAL-SFO-AUS and AUS-SFO-DAL
$47 for DAL-SFO-AUS or AUS-SFO-DAL in economy (1.58cpm)
$157 for DAL-SFO-AUS or AUS-SFO-DAL in first (5.28cpm)

Yes but probably not at booking. DAL-SFO-AUS looks like it'll only book this itin:
For $35 at either DAL or SFO on day of travel, you can do a same-day confirmed flight change, changing the SFO-AUS flight to the later flight (5:15 p.m. departure). You can then miss that flight and invoke VX's two-hour flat-tire rule (it's on the website), allowing you to standby for the next morning's flight. This would require availability on both flights so it's not a sure bet, but it works just fine.
Don't try it the other way around -- if you just "miss" the 11:30 a.m. flight, they'll put you standby for the 5:15 p.m. out of SFO, but then there's actually no way to "miss" that flight and roll over to the next day.
