SYD-BKK $466 USD ai

Saw a bunch of dates in May. Credits 100% to Alaska for 0.049 cpm. Of course you have to be in Sydney or potentially Bangkok to start...

Also, book on Emirates.com to avoid the Qantas $30 credit card fee.

can you not fly this route with one of the Asian LCC for half the price???? To be fair you wouldnt get the miles, and the routing through KL is a bit awkward, but i would rather have the $ in my pocket than a few points.

The price quoted by the OP is the return fare, not OW. So you are unlikely to find anything at half that price with Scoot or AirAsia etc.

I'm assuming this is QF operated? If crediting to AS do not book on EK site as ticket stock can be a major issue when crediting. Too bad I don't have a longer OZ stop-over to take advantage of this side trip
