UA: OSL - BOS/DTW/IAD $375 return (4,3 cent/mile)
Found some interesting fares from OSL on UA to BOS, DTW and IAD, from $375 return. Bookable from March to May, good availability.
Should get at least 8600 miles on SK and many other programs, which is 1 mile per 4,3 cent.

You need K class availability.Similar fares to NYC too.

Agreed that earnings under the new UA mechanism are not great for 'cheapo' tickets. I didn't mention UAMP, though.
No, it's the operating carrier within StarAlliance which is decisive on how you get credited points. So if LH is operating your flight, then expect to be credited according to LH earnings, even if your ticket is booked via UA.
