Transaero, so probably should be merged with other discussions about Transaero pricing.

No and it actually does not credit anywhere except its own FFP.

If you're going to 'double-up' might want to blend it with a MH flight

Hope you didn't pay cash as your ability to recover in what looks like an impending bankruptcy would be limited.

would get to ride on a Tupolev Tu-204 on the PEK leg. Bankrupt Russian carrier on a Russian manufactured plane, no thanks. But, great deal.

I read an article saying that the Russian government had agreed to guarantee Transaero's liabilities for the next 3 years. I will try to link that article. So would that mean insurance wouldn't be neccesary?

By no means do I want to start a political debate, but considering the price of oil I suspect the Russian government has a number of priorities!

Given the price of oil and the massive impending financial crisis Russia is about to find itself in, you may want to ask "and who is guaranteeing Russia's liabilities for the next three years?"

The Russian Government can say whatever it wants. Whether or not that's to be believed or not is the question.
