Nah, that's been the price since even before that announcement as long as you book reasonably far out. Same prices to a lot of places in western europe, including:

CDG for 860CAD
DUB for 796CAD
BRU for 809CAD
TXL for 793CAD
ZRH for 821CAD

and my favourite

CPH for 696CAD, great deal right there

itamatrix says some of the above can be had for even cheaper (e.g. BRU for 703CAD, but I haven't found an OTA that prices it that way yet)

EDIT: ALSO, those are price-matches to the BA Canada-Europe fares that are the same - e.g. on BA, YVR-CDG is 855 RT

Even Skyteam has the same fares, as AF YVR-CDG is 869CAD.

My mistake.

I've been looking at fares to Europe in April, and when I saw these lower fares I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5.

haha no worries - never hurts to share deals, especially if they haven't been posted before, as not everyone checks google flights.

...... it was HALF THAT PRICE like a month ago with air canada ITSELF and currently is like 700-800CAD on basically any other airline, who do you think you are air canada lol.

China Southern has fares as low as $601 (4.1cpm) SFO-CAN-PVG-WUH-SFO

UA: Fares from $637 SFO-PVG-SFO (5.2cpm with min 5 nights in PVG)

AA: Fares from $651 SFO-LAX-PVG-LAX-SFO (4.8cpm but min. stay is 4 nights)

DL: Fares from $651 SFO-LAX-PVG-LAX-SFO (4.8cpm but min. stay is 5 nights)

HU/AS: Fares from $684 SFO-SEA-PVG-SEA-SFO

F9 ORD-PUJ $166 RT for departures Oct. 26-27 and returns Nov. 2-3. $195 for a wider variety of dates in late Oct. and early Nov. Also, book today and save $20 using promo code 20OFF. Yeah, it's Frontier, so the promo just cancels out your bag fee

i just got SMF-RDU on DL for $286, calendar is ~wide open at that price to end of schedule. a nice break from the usual $335-425 this route tends to run at.
