Be prepared to camp out in MCE or Y for the HKG segments. I'm 1/4 on SWUs clearing, all 4 tries have been on Q with about 1-month advance purchase/request.
From what I see, most J pax on HKG-DFW were CX boarding passes, so likely booked on the CX codeshare directly into J. PALL lists are 30-40 deep with only 3-5 clearing.
11/21-11/23
LAX-DFW-HKG-DFW-SNA
$990 Q-fare, 18685 EQM or 5.3 cpm. Not great value, but gets me to EXP and fits my work schedule.

I just finished LAX-ORD-DFW-HKG-DFW-ORD-LAX. Couch surfed in Chicago and used Marriott points for a 2 night stay at the Renaissance in HKG. All domestic legs upgraded, but the SWUs did not clear for the 77W legs overseas. Honestly, main cabin extra was tolerable. I wouldn't want to do it often, but traveling alone, and securing EXP for next year made it worth my time. Paid $1147 for 21,316 seat miles. With the 100% elite and double Citi miles bonuses I netted 49,936 miles.
