Hello my second post, so forgive me if i did something wrong.
I just bought 4 rt tickets mex-scl with a layover in pty.
140 usd each
my dates: Dec 4 - dec 10
first i bought them through wideroe, got a cancelation 5 mins after purchase, then i bought through orbitz, 30 mins later.... Still not ticketed, but not cancelled....
Hope this helps someone!
happy flying.

I did this fare last spring to EZE from MEX. Guess this happens more often then not. Anyone getting GIG or GRU?
The position flights don't make this a good deal. Do I use miles? Last time they were 180 now 400

Thanks for posting. May be getting thinner by the minute on availability, but can see on ITA. Kayak had EZE at $315 RT if U can find it.
Positioning flight is problem for me . AA could do from ATL at 25K RT on an award, but then ATL-SCL availability good for the off-peaks at 40K, so the differential isn't that great.
Spirit pricing at $315 ATL-Toluca-ATL, but that's Toluca and with their normal Spirit fee-ing frenzy on bags. Might mesh it with 10K credit card award RT for early Nov. period, but still have Toluca and bag costs plus the hassle factor.
Paid fares from ATL or anywhere near to MEX still don't look reasonable. Also don't have status in the *A orbit (ITA showing itin at 8,966 total base miles, making it a real plum. Dunno if you take a haircut on that fare class crediting to UA).
Very, very tempting, but maybe LAN will come along with something.

Just booked 3 for $329 2 adults 1 child with expedia. Now I'll slam a beer and try to go to bed. My wife keeps telling me to stay off this site. Oh well "just one more time honey". Now what the hell does one do in SCL for 5 days?

I've noticed a number of discount fares out of mex this year, and i bought the $129 rt fare fom mex to eze this spring on lan. I flew it and no one from the airline said a thing.
