For one-way fares, 21 day advance purchase, saw availability through the end of February
The lowest cpm requires going through PHX both ways which typically adds both a redeye and an overnight connection. Other routings (DFW/CLT) push the cpm out of mileage run territory. One free stopover allowed in MIA/DFW/CLT/PHX.
Example:
10/23 AUS-PHX-MIA-SJU (arr 10/24)
10/24 SJU-MIA-PHX-AUS (overnight connection in PHX, arr 10/25)
7,778 miles, 3.8 cpm

How quickly do the prices change?
I'm totally new to this, so sorry for the dumb questions. I'm trying this exact route and days and come up with a much higher fare. Do the deals go that quickly? Is there any way to book through AA, or do you have to use a travel agent?
