If I do a SAN-SEA-SAN RT w/double miles @ $79 each way combined with a SEA-DTW-SEA RT at the bargain price, could I do this in a one day MR? Off hand, sounds like a great buy. I haven't computed the numbers. I'm registered for both.

Looks like an overnight in SEA would be required...the earliest flight from SAN is at 6:30 AM getting into SEA at 9:30 AM, yet the DTW flight departs at 8:45 AM.

Time change on the SEA-DTW already? My flight shows departure from SEA at 9:05am

Looks like a bunch of elites were flying yesterday. The upgrade list was long.

I'm pretty sure the double miles offer for SAN doesn't count toward elite status qualification. Just something to be aware of if you are looking at it as a mileage run.

I already have platinum elite status on AA. I just want the maximum miles on AS. With double miles SAN-SEA-SAN coupled with double miles SEA-DTW-SEA or SEA-ABQ-SEA seems to me it would be a sh-t load of miles even if I have to overnight one night at an Econo Lodge somewhere along the way. Seems like the cheapest way to a bus. class ticket on Emirates. Opinions?

Doesn't the SEA DTW not give you double miles? It is just elite miles that it doubles, I think.

Cheapest way to get miles for Emirates is just to buy Alaska miles, unless you're also going for AS status.

I'll run the numbers/cost on this and see if it pencils out. Thanks for the tip.

Correct. The $149 1W fare must be ticketed by 11:59pm tomorrow, Sep 8.

Caveat emptor.

I can't edit the wiki, so hopefully someone can help a sista out. I snagged the SEA-DTW RT on 9/27, 9/30, and 10/14.

Fingers crossed for upgrades!
