But that didn't stop me from booking a ticket for November.
I'm more worried about a caning during my stopover in Singapore than that. In any case, I'll be there a month before you so if you don't see me in the news...

But seriously, I am really glad to see I wasn't the only one to jump on the chance to visit Brunei. I've been curious about it ever since I was a kid, when I thought it had the most awesome flag (I still kind of think that.)

AirAsia flies them cheap regularly from KUL. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit backward countries with little tourist attractions, though.

Given that MH just fired a whole bunch of people, I don't think much is being done to fix this mess. My biggest concern is that *if* MH goes bankrupt, we lose the tickets and everything booked around it.

That bring me some bad memories about SwissAir..
Lost all my LX ticket, unable to transfer to another flight then all ticket that booked around it is gone..

Hope for the best for MH. I will be a model to take thier airplanes to show the public world that MH airplanes still some sort of safe. ^

Found some tickets, are these still good to book? Should I worry that the tickets won't get ticketed and ect?

Well if anything, i will just have an unplanned extra 10 days in Singapore if MH goes under. Going to be in SIN and/or KUL anyway. The MH flight has my SO and parents scared, but it will be safer than an intra-China flight IMO.

Brunei 23-26 nov. Anyone there then? I honestly don't even know the first thing about Brunei. Also Sydney nov 15-22.

Unlikely to go bankrupt with the government supporting it.

I would be more worried about severe route cuts and schedule changes.

Just got it through ebookers travel site. The same flight was priced SGD 216 return on MH website.

Eticket issued with no problem.

Yep, i have the same concern too. Risk of payment wise, i think travel insurance should cover this concern.

Ended up getting my eticket #'s with cheapoair. All good. Its a bit odd that I can't check/manage booking with my confirmation code instead it asks me to call (which I won't be doing!). Hopefully it'll fix itself.
