LGA-ANC G fare 8,681 mi $430 ai 4.9 cpm
Not as good as last year's ANC deals but not bad for a same day turn.
Still not sure whether I should hold out. Last year I got an ANC fare for $370 around the same time of year.

and the 9 hour layover in ANC is a whole lotta of time to kill 
but the domestic 787 segment would be sweet. ^IMO keep your eyes out for sub $300 LGA-IAH-SJC/SMF-IAH-LGA for the same price per EQM and a true same day turn.

I beg to differ. Rent a car if weather cooperates and take a drive to either Seward or Kenai.
I did a MR to ANC last year and missed the return flight on a 3 hr turnaround due to a perfect combination of late departure time, IPA and a soft airport chair conducive to snoozing. UA put me on the flight the following date. I crashed at the airport and got a rental the following morning - $35ai walk-in rate from Dollar for Camry SE. Drove to Seward and back making multiple stops for photos.
