- Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!
- Double-check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTAs confuse booking classes on some airlines.
- Post as much detail as possible about the First/Business fare, including: fare class, fare basis, one-way/round-trip, sales channel, sample dates and total price (including taxes).
- When posting fare rules, please enclose them in a [COE][/COE] block. Note the use of the eth () instead of a capital D here to prevent the forum software from trying to insert an actual block. Be sure you use the capital D.
- Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
- The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain point of origin, and only very rarely work in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
- Please include important information such as operating airline, fare classes, city pairs, etc. in the body of your post rather than the post title field as it is not visible to those reading FT on mobile devices. This is not the "trick it" thread. Please do not speak in code.
- Please do not post large images. Not everyone has infinite resolution, and it makes the rest of the thread very difficult to read. If it's not important enough to type in, it's not important enough to be here.
- Last but not least: don't call the airline!
Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where fares on EI (Aer Lingus) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Aer Lingus does not offer first class. If you see this fare, please ignore it and do not post it here as it is completely unbookable in every sense of the term. The mods are summarily deleting these posts in order to unclutter the thread.
Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where Z fares on EY (Etihad) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Z fares are discount business on EY. These fares will not receive chaffeur service. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/etihad-airways-etihad-guest/1622229-removal-chauffeur-service-some-business-class-passengers.html
List of known, active deals:
JNB-DXB-SFO in EK F, $4k-ish one-way
MLE-HKG-US (various) in C, $1400 +/- available only on CX's website.
CMB-MIA, other US cities, for about $4400 in F, round-trip/return
BA AARP $400 discount for J/F bookings is now valid again for booking until 31 Oct 2014 but departure to EOS seems to get the discount. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-executive-club/1435816-ba-fare-discounts-aarp-4.html

AMS-NRT-AMS KLM Business Class 1.857,33 all-in roundtrip
My first post in this thread.
Decent amount of dates available starting in October of 2014; though you do need some flexibility. Slightly less expensive if you add a connection in CDG (KLM/AF combination).
While perhaps, not the "best fare," it is a very decent fare (IMO) for the daily KLM nonstop (with new Business Class configuration on a 747). Also earns requisite bonuses for KLM/AF/Delta mileage programs.
1.857,33€ all-in roundtrip (business class, Z fare).
The flights I just put on courtesy hold for 48 hours :
and the fare details :

Hi baccarat_king,
Have you found dates in October 2014? I am only seeing dates from December 2014 (which seems to be normal as fare rules indicates it must be ticketed 90 days before the date of travel) but I might have missed something...
Thanks

FWIW, I had been checking October since June/July; and was not able to find this discounted fare (same route, nonstop).

Sril Lankan Airlines - one day sale (1 September, which is right now Sri Lankan time) is offering 35% off all fares for travel 15 october -10 December.
This gives a business class saver fare to Europe (I checked SIN-CDG) for SGD1600 a/i return (USD1280). With full flat beds ex CMB to Europe. (London more expensive with APD at SGD1900).
you'll have to check mileage earning.
other Asian starting points and European finishing ports available.

It might be applicable as long as departure is before 10 December? Certainly the biz class fares are 35% off (or thereabouts) - looking at them before the sale they were about USD1700, now $1280

Quick on the draw - yes, I am thinking maybe because it doesn't apply to Y (which I should've assumed given this is the premium forum).

Looked at this for one way flights and this fare is also available SIN to FRA and SIN to FCO. So there are at least a few additional options if you are looking for a nice one way ticket.

The fine print says 20% discount for Y, 35% for J. Man, I sure wish I could fit this in somewhere, but the dates coincide exactly with my busiest travel period already.

It's ~10% more for a stay of over 1-3 months (I'm thinking of using this to break a RTW that takes me to Singapore, my home base being Europe). Fare bassis of IE1MSG or IE3MSG respectively.
I think I've read the fare rules right (pasted below) and you can change date for just S$65 (presumably still commencing Oct 15 to Dec 10).

Please use a scroll box when posting fare rules.
Regarding the change, the fee would be SGD65 but the ticket would also reprice at the current fare on the day you make the change, so if you bought today and changed tomorrow, you'd be looking at a 35% increase as well as the SGD65.

SNA - SFO - JFK RT on UA in A / C for $892
SNA - SFO books into A
SFO - JFK books into C (on UA p.s.)
And the same for the return.
Works on a one-way basis for the SFO-based don't-speak-about-it crowd who want to fly JFK - SFO in C for "cheap" and ditch the SFO-SNA segment.
However, since SFO - JFK books into C and SNA - SFO books into A, you can have fun with SDC ad-infinitum
Does not work for SNA - EWR.
Seems like a mis-file? The fare rules on United.com are VAA21AFN
However, when you to pick seats, you're in the front of the bus.
