UA: BOS-PDX ~$240 RT AI, 3.5 cpm possible

Best routing is LAX, closely followed by IAH, but both are somewhat difficult to find. Routing through SFO seems to have the best availability, but is a handful of miles fewer. Best availability is in the early part of 2013, some weekend same day or one night turns available before the end of 2012.

NYC-SMF (Sacramento, CA) is in the $250s on UA, mostly out of LGA. Valid on similar dates to the BOS-PDX (no Thanksgiving, no Christmas). It's about 4.2 cpm at best, not great, but workable if you need the miles. I'm trying not to post anything over 4.0 cpm unless it is international at the moment, fall/winter is easier to find lower fares.

I always like heading home to PDX. I wish AS would hurry up and load a winter rate. Prices are still up on AS almost double compared to last year

Only problem with the LGA-(IAH)-SMF flights and back are that they're loaded as direct flights so unless you can get the segments separated, it's kind of a waste.

They are?

It's showing as separate segments for me. LGA-IAH: 1,416 miles, and IAH-SMF: 1,610 miles.

4.2cpm is pretty good for SMF, however this fare has been around off and on to LGA for awhile. i would sooner pay 4.2cpm there than drive to SFO for 3.5-3.8cpm. does this currently work to EWR or only LGA/JFK? no time to look right now, if others have already checked please inform.

Only LGA, some JFK, EWR was slightly pricier from what I recall.
