Agreed - but don't always trust the results. With the Fare Calendar I have found different results (lower prices) on certain dates when I drill down. Kind of like the color coding bug with the reward availability calendar.Originally Posted by aacharya

BTW aacharya EWR-TUS ~$280 ai is back for the same time frame if you were looking for something ex. fortress Newark.

Or you can just wait till United messes with the schedule and you get an invalid itinerary notice and call them asking to change you over to EWR Originally Posted by SunLover

The fare apparently allows you to book two stops... SJC-IAH-ORD-LGA or you can toss in CLE instead of ORD and you can even get creative and get DCA in there. Extra mileage isn't that much, but it gives you great possbilities for bumps if things go wrong (and it's kinda fun visiting airports).

DCA/IAD give the most miles, although LGA-DCA will be on US Shuttle so no 500 mile minimum. IAD-LGA on United Express will be CR2/7s though.Originally Posted by Mike Jacoubowsky

Yes; the price range is available for the reverse trip but you can't same day turn it.Originally Posted by cloudfarm

Right, until UA/CO adds a very early AM flight out of SJC or a red-eye, there's no way to get to LGA in time for the return.Originally Posted by SunLover

Still, this route is currently the cheapest way to get trans-con with very little advance purchase.
$185 one way with a one day advance - great for last minute needs. If anyone knows of anything cheaper, please post...

as a silver member, there is a 25% bonus on miles
does that mean this trip will earn 7560 (6048*1.25) status-qualifying miles for next year?

The silver member 25% bonus is on redeemable miles and not on status qualifying miles.Originally Posted by babiemindy
