DL: FLL-SJC $289 ai ~ CPM as low as 3.77

Joins a couple of other recent FLL deals...

DL has a $284 fare for FLL to SJC. For an extra $5 you can add an extra stop in both directions to create a very decent MR.

This fare can even be done on a 0 day turn.

FLL-DTW-ATL-SJC-ATL-DTW-FLL

7,668 miles for $288.80 = 3.77 CPM

Sample date: November 5, 2012 but there is wide availability throughout the year.

FYI, I could not get this to book on DL.Dumb, but was able to piece it together on Orbitz.

Props! In for one as a weekend trip

Also, here's another worthwhile run:

FLL-DTW-SEA-SJU-SEA-DTW-FLL similar dates available.

Was anybody able to piece together something the other way around (SJC-FLL)? If so, what dates did you find availability? I was able to get SJC-DTW-FLL on 11/5 for the ~$285, but not able to add in the ATL segment

My original run was 9/8-9/9; FLL>CVG>ATL>SJC>ATL>DTW>FLL. It was $287 for 7,387 (3.88 cpm).

But now DL's schedule changed and they want to rebook me on a different routing for ~6000mi (which is a huge difference). What should I do? They refused to change my cabin of service or let me have a third stop.

That really sucks! You might want to try posting to the "mileage run discussion" about it. You will definitely get more visibility to the question.

This same thing happened to me a few months back (on a different run) I was told by DL, that as long as they were getting me from point A to point B there wasn't an issue. I, of course pulled the Delta Diamond trump card - still no budging. In the end I simply cancelled the run and found something better.

Ya I'm a lowly FO so I don't think that's going to work for me (I didn't even bring it up to them because they can see my status anyway). It's not until Sept. so I'm going to see if the schedule changes again. If it's not what I want it to be I think I'll do what you did and just cancel the ticket and wait for another good deal out of somewhere in FL... (sucks though because it was such a good deal @ 3.88 cpm).

And good idea Jonas...I think I'll see if that board has any ideas that I haven't tried yet.

Just a suggestion and not sure it will work; however, I had a similar situation last year during a mileage run. I kept a copy of my original itinerary, but flew the updated itinerary which provided fewer MQMs. I then faxed in my original itinerary, and requested original routing credit. My mileage was adjusted upward to reflect what my mileage originally would have been vs. what had posted for the updated itinerary which had shorted me my miles.

For UA, I can find SFO-FLL but not SJC-FLL.

Just got an email from DL notifying me of a schedule change for the worse.

I was originally booked SJC-ATL-DTW-FLL, but now it seems they've booked me SJC-SLC-ATL-FLL. This is not good at all -- 3836 miles vs 2755 miles. The return is untouched (FLL-DTW-ATL-SJC)

I've never had to deal with a schedule change before -- are they usually pretty good about trying to get passengers back on the original itinerary? I obviously don't want to lose 1k+ MQMs. I'll try calling in the AM but wanted some opinions either way
