Ranging from $259-$262, depending where you connect. Available August through December on random dates. Best cpm is via ATL.

Great find, Adam! While some MR snobs may not think 4.9 cpm is so great, this rt fare is actually quite good for travel during summer months (when fares typically run high) on this route.

Anyone considering a MR between NYC and the west coast around the Fourth of July may also want to keep their fingers crossed and hope for another sale like the one that Virgin America intiated in mid-June last year (2011). AA, DL, UA, and JetBlue matched, and one-way fares were also available at 50% of the rt cost. See this thread for details:

Fred, there was a time you would have been laughed out of this forum for posting a $259 RT transcon.
These days, when transcons are running $400 - $600, a low fare of $259 is ^.
