[Gone; T&C change?] AA $100 off Air+Hotel - great for 1-night MRs

AAVacations.com has a promo running where you play a blackjack game and you get to decide on several types of discounts, including $100 off any air plus hotel package.

The discount can be used on any air + hotel package booked through AAVacations.com, even 1-night packages.

It is pretty easy to find a hotel for less than $100 for most of the cities I have tried, so it ends up being cheaper to book the air+hotel than the air by itself. Happy hunting!!

T&C
To receive $100 Off per booking now and $100 Off per booking later, book a flight + hotel package and enter promotion code DOUBLE100 at check-out (please use all capital letters when entering the promo code). Promotion code may not be combined with any corporate discounts or other promotional discount codes. Purchase of a flight + hotel package is required. Offer is not valid on flight-only or car-only bookings. Offer is valid for new reservations made between October 10 – November 9, 2011, and for travel between October 12, 2011 and February 29, 2012. Promotion code is not valid on any reservation that includes travel or a hotel stay on any date between December 21 - 26, 2011 or February 18-20, 2012. Instant $100 Off Now discount will be awarded once per booking. Promotion code cannot be honored retroactively or applied to existing reservations and is not valid on bookings using AAdvantage miles as a form of payment. Promotion code is are only valid for reservations booked online at AAVacations.com. Only one promotion code may be entered per booking. Promotion code is not valid for bookings at any Sandals or Beaches Resort.

Just to clarify it looks like this needs to be used with a roundtrip ticket purchase from looking at the website

this works best for vegas flights from LAX, palace station hotel with RT airfare from LAX-LAS, got one for $5 a.i after coupon lol

i'm getting 500 eqm (for elites) each way, and 100% elite bonus + 500 bonus miles from booking at AA vacations site....

$5 for 1,000 EQM's, 2500 RDM's .... i think i just made money from this deal lol

a few questions

this appears to be a generic code, can this be used over and over, if so, it appears to be a VG deal on one night MR's based on some sample testing I've been trying this a.m.

will I get hotel credit, specifically at spg and MR? I've never booked a hotel via AA Vacations

I would use $75 off Plus 2500 miles promote code TAKEBOTH in turn of maxing out the miles.

I didn't get any credit from aavacation booking for SPG, not sure about MR.

However, I never tried the trick "ordering something (ie. internet access) during the stay would count for 1 stay."

works in both directions, just booked LAS-LAX-LAS, though the $5 deal wasn't available for the time I'm there.

This took some gold-panning. What a find.

Thank you, janetdoe!

Rookie Question

Hello, First, thanks for finding such a great deal.

I am a new poster (first!) - and live in the DC area. If I were to book a flight (LAX-LAS) and happened to miss my flight, do I still get miles? I understand I would lose my fare ($3-$13)

Any consideration if AA Vacation flights booked for cash+miles are good toward earning miles? That really could drive down the cost of acquisition/retention of EXP status.

Ordinarily AA will not credit your account for miles from flights which you don't fly. In other words, any flights you book which go unflown will not credit to your AA account.

Thank you for answering! Still a great deal for those lucky enough to take advantage of it. Good luck to all.
