after providing your name etc, you have to go to the next page to provide your credit card details. on that page is a promo box. type in the promo code and the price will be reduced by $ 100. the new price of $ 30 is shown on the page, at least in my initial example - as others have reported you might even be able to bring it down close to $ 0.

When I booked "free" flights through the expedia.ca deal I still received revenue credit through CO. This deal may be different though because it is booked directly through the airline rather than a third party.
