Big mileage booster to get you to the next level. You can leave Saturday at 100pm and be back Monday at 1130am...best combos using flexible booking tool...some option also take you thru FRA for more international flavor

Cheaper if you leave from SEA, but you end up flying Austrian for the TATL. You also leave earlier and come back later, but nothing awful.

SEA-IAD-VIE-DXB and back, $1097 RT or 5.8 cpm. I see it on two dates in January (I don't need any more MRs this year).

Maybe I can get it lower if I do some more explorin'

Booked this back in Sept in "W" class with the outbound already confirmed in Bus Class
SEA IAD DXB IAD SFO YVR (yvr is where I live) 31Jan to 10Feb ai$1181.10CAD which is cheaper than the SEA SEA airfare.

Yes, you're right! I got it down to $998 with all UA metal if I moved my search to February, although there's an airport change. Routes through SEA-DEN-BOS-IAD-DXB-IAD/DCA-ORD-SEA with about 6 hours in the morning to get from IAD to DCA. Maybe not what you were thinking of, but it gives me a chance to see a friend of mine working on the Hill. Still plugging away...

What class is this booking into? Most US originating flights to Middle East on UA aren't W as the lowest fare. Whereas most often W is the lowest class available if you originate in the ME.

When the Bahrain route came into play I started seeing sub W class fares for the first time in 1 1/2 years if originating in the ME.

Interesting fare and thank for posting it. ^

Canadian FTers should note they now require a visa to enter UAE thanks to a recent diplomatic spat over allowing more access to Canada by EK.

As per the Foreign Affairs website, the visa requirement only starts in January:

As of January 2, 2011 a visa will be required for tourism and business purposes. Canadians planning to travel to the UAE after this date should contact an Embassy of the UAE for details on how to obtain a visa.
