It's $696 from PIT, booked on the US website. PIT-ORD-NRT, with UA or NH for the ORD-NRT legs. If we weren't already going to CDG for Thanksgiving on the awesome DL deal from earlier this year, I would jump on this in a heartbeat.

In general most NH metal in Y earn 70% for MP. I have times did UA codeshare on NH metal, sometimes earn 100% (yes even on a cheap UA T class), sometimes earn 70%.
That's why most UA flyers that have status avoid flying NH in Y despite NH service and food are way better than UA. As we lost out 100% bonus (1P/1K) + only earn 70% of actual miles, that is quite a bit of miles we lost if one do a rt from US to Asia.
I've been looking for a while at one of the bos-sin over thanksgiving .. technicaly mine would be not pure MR as I would have 2 days on ground... but the extra EQMS would put me over the 125 EC, the 125 EOY EC, and 150 SWU markers as well as the 10K CR-1 and earning 8 potentially useless e500 and putting me within a stones through of the 175 EC. From DC its quite easy to get to BOS, and in theory a connection in DC on the way back could help out.

I just checked and the fares have gone up quite a bit on the LAX routing. Now $668 a/i. I did a 7-day search on www.usairways.com, and that was the low point around late November.
