"Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Detroit" at the DIA

The exhibit just opened this week, and runs into July. It includes the giant "cartoon" drawings Rivera used to create the "Detroit Industry" murals, which have not been on display in almost 30 years.

Chicago's NPR station ran an interview with a museum person yesterday...sounds like a great exhibit. I had no idea that Rivera and Kahlo had a Detroit connection.

thanks for posting, I've been wanting to get to DTW to see the murals & this would be a good exhibit to combine with our weekend.
