As previous posters have recommended in Lincoln, the State Capital, Morrill Hall, and another hidden gem, the Tractor Museum, which is affiliated with the University. The Aviation Museum between Lincoln and Omaha is also good. Nebraskan's appreciate a good cut of meat, and there are many fine choices for a steak dinner, especially in Omaha.

Any restaurants to recommend in the Old Market area? I will be there next week.

Excellent, thanks! I had heard about M's Pub and am so glad to have your view on it, and the additional possibilities.

Quite a list, Traveller, but I believe visiting Johnny Rosenblatt stadium is no longer possible. I know it was to be demolished once the Ameritrade stadium was built, and the land converted to parking for the Henry Doorly Zoo - a first class facility in its own right.
We moved from Omaha a number of years ago, but I still remember it fondly. We always found a lot to do in and around the area.
